Central Ohio Knockouts Softball / Marion Merchants Baseball to run Lincoln Park in Marion. Here is the link to the story. I expect to see even more awesome tournaments soon in Marion. Lincoln Park is in need of work but there are 13 fields all with lights, bleachers, score boards, concrete block dugouts and press boxes, and fully fenced. The complex has paved parking, two concession stands, real bathrooms (need some work) sidewalks between fields, shade trees, and the city swimming pool is also in the park along with a playground and shelter houses.

With some hard work to return the ball fields to top shape this will be a premier place to play.

We are looking forward to hosting both softball and baseball tournaments in the future, working out details. Will be running a fall travel league for softball for sure. What a great facility, cement walkways all through the park to every field, lights on fields, bleachers at every field, cant wait to get started. Many plans for future tournaments, April 27, 2014 we will host a pitch, hit, and run competition sponsered by MLB, stay tuned for details.

I would love to see the youth baseball and softball program in Marion return to greatness When I was a kid playing baseball in Marion (long time ago!!!!) every boy that had an athletic bone in his body played at Lincoln Park. many kids hung out at the ball fields even on nights they didn't play. It is a shame to see the way it has been let go down hill. I hope the Knockouts org. can restore it or improve upon the past. The way fastpitch softball has grown in Ohio I think it can also be a great softball program. I wish you guys the best.

Its been a long time coming as we all know. I spent ten years coaching up there and would love to see it return to its hayday from when I played there as well. Lots of good memories on those fields as a player, parent, and coach. The potential is there.

Thanks coaches from the Diamonds organization, hoping to make Marion a hub for softball in Ohio, now that we have the facility maybe its time to work together to make that happen.
