ASA Tournament Chain Reaction Fathers Day Classic ASA College Showcase 6/18-6/20

Chain Reaction will be hosting their 12th annual Fathers Day Classic June 18th-20th, 2010.
Open to all age groups. 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u, 18u

This ASA Eastern Qualifier will also be a College Showcase which will be held Friday afternoon, June 18th, and will be hosted by Aspiring Athletes, www.aspiringathletes.org . All Managers are encouraged to send a roster along with the tournament entry form.

Tournament will be held at the Champion Athletic Club located in Warren, Ohio 44483 on Alva Ave. This complex has 8 groomed fields, all on one location and has plenty of warm up area along with 2 concession stands, t-shirts, helmet painting and more.

This tournament will be played under ASA rules, will use ASA umpires and will be a sanctioned tournament.

* $375.00 Entry fee

* 4 Game guarantee (weather permitting)

* 3 pool play and single elimination

* 75 minute games, FINISH THE INNING

* Pool play on Saturday will allow 2 EP's

* Sunday (Elimination Day will be strictly ASA rules)

* Tie breakers will go to the books

* Tie breaker in Elimination play will go to International after time limit expires or 7 full innings, which ever comes first

* Semi Finals and Finals will have no time limit (except 10u, semi will still be timed)

* Keep in mind last year when other tournaments canceled or were delayed because of the rainy weekend, The Chain Reaction crews had all of their fields starting on time except for one and EVERY TEAM IN EVERY AGE GROUP played their FULL 75 MINUTES. NO GAMES WERE SHORTENED. We work hard for the girls to play ball, it's all about them.

NO PARKING OR GATE FEES ON FRIDAY NIGHT GAMES OR ANY FRIDAY EVENTS!

I have always like being there, plus some of the best food. My only concern would be the parking. You would really need to acquire more space with a state tourney.

Coaches,
I want to take this time to thank everyone for their interest in the Chain Reaction Fathers Day Classic, but unfortunately we are forced to cancel this tournament this year due to the low number of entries. Normally at this time of year we have about 30 entries and right now we only have 8. Some say that its to early to cancel but I really don't think that its far to the teams that have entered and keep them from trying to get into another tournament, therefore, all teams entered will receive a full refund as promptly as possible. I would like to thank everyone for their support to Chain Reaction and especially to those who have been with us in the past, your support has been greatly appreciated over the past 11 years.
On behalf of the Chain Reaction Softball Organization and myself, THANK YOU and good luck with your season.
