Circle City Firecracker Showcase (Indy), July 3-5

Haven't seen much pub on this July 4th weekend showcase. Anybody have any experiences they can share from the first couple years it was run? I/m hoping this thread can drum up some talk on it since I wasn't really sure where to post it to begin with.

You can go to the chat room and get all the information you want. I know the tournament director hangs in there with BD all the time.

Nice complex Fury. Go enjoy. For years it was known as one of the best complexes in the Midwest area. I haven't seen it in a few years.. but I'd almost bet it is the same in being a nice facility.

Our 16s are going. Don't know much about it other than the fact they got a horrible pool schedule. 8am Friday. 8am Saturday. 8am Sunday. I'll be in Orrville sound asleep.

LOL.... Akadema1.. you took it the wrong way.. but since you feel you must go about it the way you did in your post... I have a hard pill to swallow that you are an USSSA Indiana State Director and run sanctioned events of other sanctions as a state director. :lmao: But after Tonya Perkins left USSSA after YEARS.. I guess it was a "get who you can" type of thing from USSSA management.

Probally why the USSSA Kentucky State Director is from where??? Illinois or Wisconsin or some state like that, isn't he?.

I think it is funny myself....... personal pleasure of laughter after being with USSSA for 20 + years of umpiring, TD for mens - womens- girls- coed and knowing the people in management positions in Great Lakes Division and National Office.

I just have to shake my head sometimes at USSSA and their thinking.

I'm just hoping for good competition, fair umps and excellent weather. The games are spread around so far for most teams that there is lots of free time to spend doing whatever there is to do in Indy.

we play 2 on sat , 2 on sunday and 1 on monday the 5th . 5 games over 3 days . MD

We have that same schedule... played at 8am today, and don't play again til 3:30pm. Lots of time between games for many teams. Not exactly sure what to do with the time, so we're looking for batting cages between games. ;&
