Anyone forming team(s)? Our high school will not be participating.

We just got a new coach and was told it was to late. Don't want to be left out. I know there are coaches who put team(s) together from different schools. I have not checked Lorain though.

Thompson is the last name. Don't know the first. Wife of Steve Thompson the girls varsity bball coach. She had played at the college level. Don't know about coaching experience.

We're in the same boat, new HS Coach (haven’t even heard a name yet). I emailed Coach Norris from CSU, the league is still open and hasn’t topped 30 teams yet. I’m trying to put a team together from the HS, but with girls involved with other sports, it may be a huge undertaking with zero interests. So, like Dennis, if there’s any other team looking for players, we’re interested as well.

That would be Michelle Thompson. She and Steve are friends of mine. She played at Kent State under Coach Sue Lilly. She is a wonderful woman, and I wish her the best of luck.

Do the girls know it's not an "official" high school team? (Per OHSAA, it can't be) And, don't they still only play Sunday afternoons and evenings? I would think softballers would jump at the chance in the middle of winter.

It's a good facility for a league ... they can actually play anytime from early morning through evening. I am not coaching in it this year for the first time in 7 years, but in the past couple of years we played 10 games on 4 Sundays. Pros and cons of that for high schoolers ... less trips down there over the course of the winter, but some fairly long days especially for the non-travel ball players who aren't used to it.
