Clinic with Tim Walton, University of Florida Gators

The weekend of November 9-11 the Ohio Hawks will be welcoming into Ohio, Florida Head Coach Tim Walton. Tim will be holding a seminar with the coaches in the morning and then talking and working with the girls in the afternoon. We are putting the finishing touches on exact date and times for everything. Once we know the exact structure of the day, we will update immediately. The players will be working in the morning with local college instructors to help improve their game. The cost is as follows:

Coaches - $75.00
Players - $10.00

The registration for the clinic will be up by Monday. Should anyone have ANY questions please do not hesitate to contact me via PM here. We are looking forward to bringing in Coach Walton to help expand the softball knowledge within the area.

The clinic with Coach Tim Walton will be on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The morning session with Coach Walton will be from 8:30-12:00. You can start arriving at 8:00 and get yourself settled in. The location is as follows:

Lakota Freshman Campus
5050 Tylersville Rd.
West Chester, OH 45069

The players portion of the clinic will run from 9:00 to 5:00 at SWOBAT. The girls should wear tennis shoes or turf shoes while at SWOBAT. NO Cleats. The girls should have their glove and face mask if they wear one. Have them bring whatever drink you want them to have while working out there. There is a water fountain in the building. SWOBAT is located at:

West Chester, OH 45069

You can drop off your wonderful daughters, if she is attending the clinic, a little before 8:00. That will give you time to get over to the coaches clinic for the morning. The locations are only 5 minutes apart according to Mapquest. After the morning session with Coach Walton, he will come over to SWOBAT and work with the girls aftern lunch. There will be time to ask questions of him while there as well.
Lunch will be from 12:00 to 1:30 on your own. We are working with a local restaurant to eat in their facility at a discounted rate to clinic attendees.

There is a limit of 80 girls and the age limit is 9.

Spoke with Coach Walton today. He is very excited about the upcoming clinic. He has a lot of information that he wants to share with coaches and players. This is where I would like some help from the coaches who will be coming. Coach Walton is putting together his presentation and I am wanting to know if there is anything in particular that the coaches and/or players would like to hear about. I will be speaking with Coach again in a couple of days so I can share this information with him. If you want, you can just PM me your thoughts.

700 WLW's own Bill Cunningham has offered up a 10% discount for those attending the Tim Walton Clinic. We will be developing a voucher/ticket that will be given to the coaches/parents and players. Most will be picking up their DD's from SWOBAT which is 3 minutes from Willie's Sports Cafe. The address for Willie's is:

Just in case clinic attendees have other thoughts or ideas for lunch, Willie's is making the voucher/ticket good for a whole year. So it will expire November 10, 2013. This is very generous of Willie's Sports Cafe. I hope you will take the opportunity to enjoy their menu during our lunch break from 12:00 to 1:30. The food is excellent, plentiful on the plate and very well priced.
