Her departure had nothing to do with confidence in her team. She thinks highly of the players on a young CSU squad (yes, even one without Dara Toman). Recruiting at urban colleges isnt necessarily that much harder than anywhere else. Some players prefer the city over more rural campuses. In the end, it is the quality of the people associated with the team (players, coaches, trainers) that drives how well the college softball experience goes for any player. The CSU team has strong chemistry and that reflected the types of players that Coach Nicholson recruited there. She and her staff will be missed. I hope her replacement has strong character and family values, as well as solid coaching credentials.
