Coaching loss

The world lost a great person today. My daughters softball coach Chris Miller(OFC Blast 95) passed away this morning. We were very fortunate to have this man and his family come into our life three years ago. I could not have asked for a better man to coach my girls and I knew at the end of the day, he cared for them much more as young ladies then softball players. The Lord just received one great coach and man.

Regretful condolences from the Buckeye Heat 95. We never had the opportunity to play opposite Coach Miller, but especially this year we recognized his team as up and coming and definitely on our radar screen.

We hope his players and their families will cope with their grief through a process that emphasizes a celebration of his life and all that he brought to your lives. The sadness will of course remain but the celebration will help to make the sadness manageable.

I suspect that playing in Shreve this last weekend was exactly where Coach Miller wanted the Blast to be.

Chris Miller was a good man.. a good man to the community... a good man to the organization through his never ending dedication to the girls of softball whether it was his team, his organization or any other girl that took the field against him.

May God receive him into the Kingdom of Heaven with the GREAT deeds that he has done in his lifetime for the people around him.

Indeed a sad day to know of his death.
