ESPN3 is a web based channel... you can watch live streaming on your PC - smart phone or internet supplied tv...

Unfortunately, neither directv nor my internet provider is authorized to stream espn3.com I had hoped to catch a few games from the Citrus Classic this past weekend.

Time Warner ??? I don't see how an internet provider can block web content.....

The Citrus Classic was pretty cool. m*ch*g*n beating UCLA was impressive. There were tons of people watching that game. The others live were good but I did watch a couple on ESPN3 Saturday. If anyone else did watch, was I the only one that thought the announcers knew nothing at all about the sport? When the umpires started calling illegal pitches the guys had no idea what was happening. I was actually embarrassed for them...lol. It was so "unDisney like".

been to a couple UofL games here so far, and watched a game on ESPN3 the other day....looks like the meat of the broadcast season begins in 10 days or so...I have to pay extra for the Big10 Network, but it's worth it in the spring.

I spent a good hour today just reading box scores and play by play - it was the best I could do, and it helped keep me from jonesing for softball.

Some of the announcers on the ESPN3 feed have been so poor, I thought about about turning the sound down. If only to keep from getting embarrassed by some of the comments by the play-by-play guy. I always wonder what the fastpitch expert -- usually a coach or former player -- is thinking during the broadcast. They must have really sore tongues from biting down all the time to keep from cracking down on the announcer.

Hahaha:lmao: I'd like to see Jenny Finch do some broadcasting. Although I could watch her sell insurance and enjoy it.........;) In all seriousness it would be cool to get her insight on the game, especially on younger pitchers and players. Just think it would be interesting that's all.

I wish BWs would put it up on the screen!! Refreshments plus wings and fastpitch. We can come in with game faces and say "Got Game?"

Actually it's the fact that TW doesn't have a contract with ESPN to access the content. ESPN is checking the incoming IP to determine who is on a provider that has a contract.

I know for sure that Time Warner customers has access to ESPN 3 with roadrunner. Bear is correct. Sinclair networks refuses to allow non-contracted providers access to ESPN 3.

Got out today and took the kids to watch games at Miami University Invitational - 6 colleges multi games Fri thru Sun.

No real powerhouses, but still nice to watch. Good finish in the Loyola (Chicago) vs Miami - Loyola P had no hitter w 2 outs in top 7th - Miami frosh SS hit a solo shot for 1-0 win. (and made great diving catch in hole to follow that up)

Teams: Miami U, Dayton, Ball St, Eastern Michigan, Loyola, Niagara
