Colleges running Fall Instructional Leagues

How many colleges run a Fall Instructional League? Found some information on one that will do a evaluation day, they will then place girls onto teams based on positions and abilities. The teams will be coached by players at the college.
Is this a fundraiser type deal for the school? Or is it a form of recruiting for the school?

I think its safe to say that these are fundraisers for the softball programs at those schools, but can serve an additional purpose of getting really good players exposure to the college coaches for future recruiting purposes.
