watermelon is an excellent snack in between games as it is 92% water and has vitmains A, B-6, C, and E. Plus they taste really good.

It may sound gross but the girls need to check their urine. It should be clear liike water, the darker it gets the more dehydrated you are, also watch for dizzyness and headaches.

If girls get overheated put a cool wet towel on top of their head, around the sides of their neck, and ice pack under their armpits to cool them down quickly

... and it was mentioned once already but I'll say it again - sunscreen also really does help.

Frog Toggs have not made it to NY. Can someone point me in a direction where I can buy/learn about them.

Apparently they have made it to NY. I bought one Saturday morning at Dicks on the way into our Saturday games. My daughter loved it!

Once on a hot day between games a teammate of my daughter was given a Big Mac to eat by her parents. NOT the right thing to do!

Be careful, watermelon has a laxative effect and if you are in a spot that's only has portalets it could be ugly. haha. Hope you weren't eating when you read this. hehe

Ha ha I just had some with my cottage cheese! Packing a big ice chest for this weekend! Water, frog towel, fruit salad, pretzels, Gatorade, string cheese.... And in the car sunscreen and loads of options for shade.

Every girl playing this weekend, especially Friday, should be upping their water, gaterade, pickle juice, G6 intake NOW. You don't wait the day of, too risky...

Agree, agree, agree! Hydrate, sip all day, don't put the bottle down unless you are on the field! ice packs, cold wet wash cloths, go jump n Alum Creek! Stay in shade when possible. Most important, tell someone if you feel any symptom of heat or dehydration. Don't be a hero. Health and safety are the priority! Stay safe everyone!
