Coming August 2016....

NEW STORM LOGO SMALL.jpg
2016
Valley Storm 14U
Premier

This August, we will be assembling a team made up of 14U players that are committed to success and hard work, dedicated, and driven to be their very best, both on and off the field.

We will apply for and play a PGF and ASA tournament schedule only.

My name is Rob England,
Director and co-founder of the original Valley Storm Fastpitch Organization.
With over 20 years playing and coaching fastpitch softball, I have coached some of the most competitive teams in Ohio at the 16U and 18U age groups. I have decided to drop back and take a group of 14U ladies up thru their exposure years. References are available from my past players, parents, and coaches upon request.

Tryout dates as well as online registration are now posted at www.valleystormpremier.com

Contact me with any questions you may have about this great opportunity
or about private tryouts:

Thanks for the good words dalemurphy3. The goal for us is to surround each player with others at all positions who are dedicated and whom can lift each other up and push each other.

This team will be assisted by 2 former Valley Storm players, one from University of Ashland (Pitcher) the other from Urbana University (Pitcher/Catcher). Their experience and knowledge of the game and recruiting process is priceless and will be beneficial to all players on this roster. What a great opportunity for players to interact with these players.

My goal is to assemble 11 of the top 14U college prospects in the region.

Looking for dedicated players who wish to train hard and play against the best in order to prepare for their college softball dream.

We have an indoor facility where we hit and practice thru the winter. Champions are not born, they are made.

Depending on makeup of this team, we can adjust practice locations to various areas of the state to be fair and convenient to all of my players. Really searching for 11 of the top players in the region who can dedicate the time and whom have the ambition to be the best.

This team will not be for everyone. I am searching for players with a rediculous work ethic whom can commit to being the best. My teams have tons of fun, we laugh and joke a lot, but we have one goal and that is the pursuit of perfection.

We understand that there are players and parents who wish to play an upper end PGF and ASA schedule but whom cannot afford to travel to California, Illinois, Tennessee, New York, and Florida on a regular basis.

We will concentrate on PGF & ASA tournaments in the Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana area as a 14U team and adjust our schedule as needed as we progress to a 16U team.

Our college following is already one of the best and the addition of PGF tournaments will expand recruitment for our players.

Was leaning toward an 02 but I am not opposed to a mix to be honest. The top 11 players are my main concern. If a player can perform at the level I expect then 02 or 03 is not an issue to me.

Anyone who knows me will tell you my teams work hard to learn the slap and we conduct a great short game. We play a fast game, speed on the bases with aggressive base running. I have an interest in speedy slappers or players with speed wanting to learn the slap.

Big hitters certainly have a place in our system, but our style usually pressures a defense with speed.

Tryouts getting closer by the week. Stay tuned.

I have received many, many phone calls, texts and emails inquiring about this team. One question that pops up is "Do you have a daughter on the team?"

The answer is No.

My daughters are 25 and 27 years old. I just love the game and I love teaching the mindset of being aggressive and confident.

This is a great opportunity for all players wanting to play a solid schedule on a decent budget, but is an extraordinary opportunity for high end 14U pitchers. I say this because the plan is to load up this roster with "Premier" players where a pitcher would be backed by very solid defense which in turn helps pitching stats. Also we will be getting assistance from a former Valley Storm player and current University of Ashland Pitcher, as well as former player and former University of Urbana Pitcher and Catcher.

As stated earlier, this team will have lots of help, but will be coached by myself as well as collegiate players (Pitcher / Catcher) from Urbana University as well as Pitcher from University of Ashland. Both former Valley Storm standouts.

Looking for high end players whom want to compete against the best. We should not fear playing the best, we should relish it, look forward to it, as it only makes us better.

Motivate yourself, by the fear, of being average.

The tournaments you play matter.....The team mentality matters.

Please make sure to take a look at Coach England. He is very familiar about the recruiting process, is not a parent coach (no Daddy ball, for those of you who have experienced this..it makes for a long season!) He will have two assistants, who have played at the higher level, and knows what it takes to play in college- if that is what your daughter aspires to do.
