Davidson, Carr, and Stone Lead the Way for R-MC

ASHLAND, Va. – The 12th ranked Randolph-Macon Softball team recorded a win in their home opener today over Mary Washington before the second game ended in a tie after the field became too dark to continue. Senior catcher Sami Davidson (Stafford, Va. / Brooke Point) led the way for R-MC finishing the day 3-6 with five RBI’s including a three-run laser over the left field fence in the bottom of the seventh in game two that brought the score level. Senior Maddie Stone (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) also went 5 for 8 on the day with an RBI and fellow senior Brooklyne Carr (Windsor, Va. / Nansemond-Suffolk Academy) finished the day going 4 for 5 with an RBI and drawing a walk.
