DD's first trip

I never thought when she first started playing at 9 years old our DD would be playing college fastpitch especially as a pitcher. The early years are always trying at times. She has just sent us a text letting us know they are on the plane and getting ready for take off for her first spring break trip to Florida. I think nerves and excitement are catching up with her and us as the parents. Once the first games are played tomorrow things will settle in. The first 10 years have gone by so quick I am sure these next 4 will go even quicker.

I want to wish everyone's DD a very safe and enjoyable season.

BSE60,

congrats to you and your DD on making it this far in the Journey! You are correct the next 4 years will fly by just like the past 10 years have. My baby (youngest) girl is a junior in college and I'm enjoying a road trip to Louisville as we speak, but also dreading the day when she finally hangs up her cleats forever. Good luck and enjoy as many games as you can, the memories that you have made will last forever!

Both DD's are now past college, the younger just got married last year and has a tee and net in her backyard and she makes her husband front toss to her regularly. (playing in a base coed league) Old habits are hard to break.

I still feel like they should still be playing h.s. bickering at each other like sisters do on the field., i agree, it goes too fast...
