Denison University Shootout

Denison University will be hosting their first annual one day fall shootout on Saturday, September 25, 2010. The rain day will be Sunday, September 25, 2010. The cost for this tournament is $425.00.

This one day tournament is open to four teams only. This tournament will be limited to 16U/18U teams only. There is a four game guarantee. There will be a 1:20 minute time limit. No new inning will begin after 1:20 minutes. The first game will start at 8:00 A.M. and the champinonship game will begin at approx. 7:00 P.M. The Denison University softball field has lights. Denison University softball players will be umpiring all games. Denison University coaches and players will be available throughtout the day for instruction. ASA rules will apply with some modifications.

$425 for a four team tournament in the fall may have priced itself out of the market. Especially with college students doing the umpiring. Just as not all college players would make good coaches, not all college players will make good umpires.
