The Diamonds & Dreams Academy has a few openings for new students at this time. We recently added another instructor to our staff that will be working with beginning students. Amanda Pick (McAuley H.S./Ball State) has brought her Division I playing experience to our Academy. Amanda is a former student of Chris Miner's and was fortunate enough to receive a full athletic scholarship to Ball State as a pitcher/infielder.
The D&D Academy has been endorsed and certified by Ernie Parker and follows his basic techniques of pitching. Some of Ernie's past students were Olympic gold medalists Jennie Finch, Lisa Fernandez, and Amanda Freed.
Chris Miner is an A.S.A. National Hall-of-Famer and a five time Major Women's All-American. She was a Head Coach at the Div.I level for 15 years. Diamonds & Dreams opened in 1993 and has trained many athletes who have received athletic scholarships at DI, DII, and NAIA schools. Some of our most recents students include Lindsey Bodecker (Ohio State), Kirsten Allen (Oklahoma), Amanda Pick (Ball State), Karen Simmons, Chelsea Roy (N.K.U.) and Stacey Toups, Sam Daniels (E. Kentucky).
We only have a few openings for beginning pitching classes so if interested please contact us as soon as possible.
We will also be holding a few mini clinics in the very near future in areas of; basic defense, basic catching skills, baserunning and sliding, and slapping/bunting skills.
