Just curious if there are others out there who live in a Division 1 school district without a Middle School or Jr. High program. ?I live in Lebanon who has been very competetive over the last 5 years at the state level and I was shocked to learn that we did not have a school sponsored feeder program in place.

Am I making a big deal out of nothing?

Jim, yes you are. I live in Lebanon also and would rather my daughter play against the best teams possible not teams that are from the same school district. By the way, look at the past Lebanon teams and you will find the reason that they did so well is because they had a core group of girls that played travel ball during their Jr. high school years. All is well in Lebanon just need to keep the pipe line of pitchers flowing into the high school.

In the Toledo/NWO area there is no Jr high teams formed from the school districts. However there is a spring league that is avaliable from the F.A.S.T. organization. It has a great amout of teams. Some schools have 2-3 teams in this league.

South-Western City Schools (home of Westland, Franklin Heights, Central Crossing, and Grove City) has no softball in the middle schools.

School Sponsored junior high teams are governed by OHSAA. You have a lot more freedom by staying a club team until high school.
