With all the posting on Lancaster. It's raining up here and I'm not so sure that the East of Chicao is going to happen tonight. Wanted to see Greenville play.

cancelled for tonight- last I heard are tommorrow's games all pushed back by 1 hour - if they even play in looking at the forecast

I think that they get most of tommorrow in. The rain looks like it might hold off until late afternoon. I know that the main field is tarped but I do not know if they do the same for the other fields.

All we have been told is everything is pushed back 1 hour - however the schedule of teams is not correct - I believe the pairings are still correct but the times are different then what some of the teams playing schedules given to the coaches

this link was posted on JJ Huddle - it has the corrected times for today from both the 1 hour delay and the differences as to the schedule the teams received. let's hope the rain holds off to get those last few games in

That is not true at all. In fact games are being played right now. The schedule has been modified and I would not attempt to post that here because it seems to be rather fluid. From what I was told they are trying hard to get every team at least two games. I will post more when I know it.

Greenville moves to 9-0 on the season with a shut-out win in their first game of the east of Chicago event.
Pitcher Kyli Gunkel goes to 8-0 on the season with 5 more shut-out innings before handing the ball to Soph Alyssa Comer to finish things up.
Side note: Greenville sets a school record with their 28th straight victory including last season. During their state championship run in 2007 the GreenWave won their final 20 games of the season and now the first 8 of the 2008 champaign. No team in any sport in school history has ever accomplished that.
