Hello,

Am a transplanted Ohioan now living in Texas. I have not lived in Ohio in 20 years but most of my family is still there. My daughter is a pitcher and I provide hitting and pitching instruction down here in Texas.

I was thrilled to find this board and that FP softball is becoming a big sport for females in Ohio. I will check in every now and then an contribute if I can.

Take Care,

Elliott. ;D

Welcome aboard, Elliott.

Are you the same "ifubuildit" that posts over on eteamz?

What part of Texas are you from? We are transplanted Texans in Ohio. My daughter used to play for the Mansfield Tomboys. We sure enjoy the four seasons and not playing softball 10 months of the year. Ohio is a diamond in the rough for softball - great talent that nobody knows about yet. It won't be long because there are some great people here that are doing wonderful jobs for the girls!! It is just a matter of time!!

Bret,

Yes I am the same person on eteamz. Glad to see a familiar name. :)

Eagle,

I live in Flower Mound. Daughter is a senior there this year and will be the starting pitcher this spring. Looking forward to a good season.

The Tomboys are a great program down here. As I recall they finished 2nd at AFA 18U nationals this past summer. My daughter was in the Rage program for many years then moved to the Playmakers based in Garland for 18U ball. I have been a select coach for around 8 years. As you know its a full time job since we play year around.

I do miss having 4 seasons, but I can state without a doubt I do not miss cold weather. Been pretty dry down this way for several months but the cool weather has finally made it south.

Elliott.

Thanks for the info. We have alot of friends in that area and Highland Village. My daughter is a senior also. We were with the Tomboys 2 years at 14U and when they won 14U AFA and came back to play in the 16U AFA. We have probably crossed paths at some point. I remember our first year in TX and we played in the Katy Christmas Classic about this time of the year. We had snow flurries today in Columbus. Thank heavens for indoor ball. Hope all is well in the great state of Texas!
