Explosive Black 10u based out of Strongsville is actively searching for one athlete who has the desire to become an exceptional softball player. This is a great opportunity for your daughter to join a very strong group of girls with a tremendous group of coaches with decades of experience.
HEAD COACH - Gary Mundson
Gary is going back to coaching at 10u after just completing coaching the very successful Explosive 18u Black team this past summer ('94) and is looking forward to starting again with the 10u's.. Nine of the girls on Gary's last team have gone on to play in college in Div. 1, 2, and 3 schools. They have stayed together and developed as a team. Gary is a non parent coach who has a passion for the game and enjoys working with an developing girls into elite players.
ASST. COACH - Joe Yocabet
Winningest head coach in Baldwin-Wallace history, Joe is entering his 28th year on the staff at BW. A member of the Greater Cleveland Softball Hall of Fame, Joe was a very successful player as a pitcher. As a memeber of the US Air Force, Joe played for a USAF team that won the all military title in 1956 and 1957. Joe played on a national championship (ASA team) in 1975. Joe has an amazing knowledge base for the game as both a player and coach. Joe has dedicated his life to coaching and teaching fastpitch softball.
ASST. COACH - Paul Molnar
Paul has worked with Gary and Joe for the past 6 seasons as assistant in developing the 18u Black team. Paul's daughter is a pitcher for Case Western and he is also interested in helping the Explosive 10u players reach their full potential. As with Gary and Joe, Paul will also be a non-parent coach interested in the development of all the girls.
We will be practicing indoors starting in November through mid April at NEO in Parma Heights. Practices will be on Saturday for 2 hours on a huge 10,000 sq. ft. turfed field. In February/March we will begin our twice a week 2 hour indoor practices on Wednesday and Saturday as we prepare for the tournament season. All these practices will be at NEO and are covered in your fees.
