Weekly practices on our 10,000 sq. ft. indoor practice facility large enough for scrimmage games. Indoor practices from November through March. Our coaching staff for 2016 will be announced shortly. Your daughter will be provided top level coaching and opportunity as we teach our players the skills necessary to excel in fastpitch. If your daughter has a passion for the game, Explosive can provide the structure to help her reach her maximum potential.

Explosive Black 14u (01) is looking to build on a successful 2015 season that included a tournament win, a second place finish, and an overall record of 33-21. The 2016 team will be coached by Cassie Gaye and assisted by Explosive Fastpitch founder Jeanette Howard who has trained hundreds of girls in NE Ohio to become elite players. Jeanette also has many contacts with college coaches and will assist the team in areas of training, recruiting and leadership.

The team will play in two fall tournaments and a fall college showcase event. The 2016 season will consist of Lasers, Stingrays (if accepted) and other high level tournaments to be determined. We are looking to fill two positions and will consider all positions as we are looking for highly talented softball players who want to play at a high level.

Explosive Pink 12u (04) is looking for 1-2 athletes for the following season. All positions are open and we are looking for committed softball players with a passion for the game and a drive to excel.

This team will be coached by Tabitha Murray a 2014 Baldwin Wallace graduate where she was a four time varsity softball letter winner and was an All-OAC first team selection and Division III player of the week. Your daughter will be given every opportunity and the tools necessary to succeed and hard work and dedication will be rewarded.

Explosive Black 12u (03) is looking for athletes to add to a solid returning core. The strong coaching team of Head Coach Keith Buckley and assistant Joe Yacobet will turn young athletes into great softball players. These two non parent coaches are all about teaching the proper fundamentals of the game. Your daughter will be joining a team where all positions are earned, not determined prior to tryouts and playing time is based on your daughter's ability and commitment.


Keith has been involved with Elyria Little League baseball for 8 years as president, coach and UIC. Keith has been coaching girls fastpitch for over 10 years and has had many successful seasons with North Coast spirit and Keystone Tidalwaves. Here are some coaching highlights from his girls' teams:

2008 - 2nd place NSA Nationals, took 14u team to Little League WS
2009 - 2nd place in Little League World Series - 14u

Keith is also a varsity HS level umpire for baseball and softball so he will teach your daughter rules an respect for the game from both sides. He will have his daughter Brianna help out with the team as a special assistant. Bri was a key member of the state champion Keystone Wildcats team where she earned honorable mention All-American honors. Bri is currently in her senior year at Ashland University.

Joe Yacobet has been involved with fastpitch softball as a player and coach for over 50 years. He was a standout fastpitch pitcher and later went on to coach Baldwin Wallace College and retired with the most wins in school history.

Explosive Pink 16u (00) will be under the leadership of new head coach Christine (Kass) Kasidonis. All positions are open and Kass is looking for dedicated players who are committed to excelling at softball and who want to compete in showcase events and top level tournaments.

Kass graduated from Brunswick HS where she set an RBI record her junior year while her team made it to the elite 8. She went on to play at Notre Dame College where she made honorable mention for the All-American Midwest Conference. She also received a select invitation for the USA Softball Team in 2011.

Kass has coached travel ball for 4 years with MC Madness Organization. She was the assistant coach for 18u Madness Red this past season. She currently is the head JV softball coach at Nordonia HS. You can contact Christine at ckasidonis@outlook.com

Explosive Black 18u will be coached by Taylor Menhart. She is looking for 2-3 players to add to the team this year. Looking for utility players and another pitcher. Valley Extreme Girls Fast pitch will be having Fall Friendlies for 2016 playing age

Games will have umpires, on the following Sundays: 9/13, 9/20, 9/7, 10/11, 10/18, and 10/25

Explosive 12u Pink (04) has 9 committed players and is looking to add two more. This team will be coached by recent Baldwin Wallace graduate Tabitha Murray. Tabitha has a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Coaching.

Tabitha lettered all four years playing at BW. She was the only pitcher in NCAA history to throw back-to-back perfect games in the same day. She won many awards including the only player in OAC history in the same week to win the pitcher of the week and the hitter of the week.
Other accomplishments include OAC rookie of the year, All OAC conference and National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association Division III player of the week.
