DaBoss,
as stated in all of the posts in response to yours, i cannot begin to imagine life without my Jilli. the things you have gone through are things no parent ever wants to consider.
just know that even though we have never met, my family's thoughts are with you, and your advice is some of the best there is. even though we tend to ignore the little things and fixate on the rough patches and assumed slights in life, there is nothing like the love of a child to ground you in reality and make this world a place worth living in.
my thoughts are with you.

Thanks to all that responded to my post on this thread and to those members and guests on the forum that thought kindly of me if you were touched with the message I shared. Guess I'm an old softy but watching the kids play our game has more meaning to me now. The memories of my daughter in softball are practically all good. It's relaxing to reflect on the past and as always rewarding to see a pitching student execute something for the first time. Now when I see it I fight back the tears as I know another obstacle has been cleared and another chapter of her life opened. I never thought I would still be doing this so many years after my daughter went on to college but I can't look the girls in the eyes and tell them I'm quitting. Instead, I plan, as always, to attend or purchase the classes and courses that'll help me stay up on anything new and pass this off to the kids and their parents. I will continue to host pitching lessons throughout the winter. Still, I've never kept a dime for my time. The smiles are still enough.

The rest is up to the kids and fate, whichever wins out first.

Let's get this season started!!!! Good luck ladies!!!!!!

I don't know you other than I think of you as a very reasonable poster that I often agree with. Thanks for sharing this moving story with a stranger. I'm so sorry for your loss.
