Sanitizer is widely available
In our town it has not been. They stock and is gone. We still do not even have any running alcohol in any of our stores yet!

Bath & Body Works is selling it online. Our local CVS has a ton of it as well.

We played last weekend. Home plate conferences we all social distanced and that means all teams and umpires did that. Umpires sat a bit further away than normal but were still able to see the plate and pitch clearly. Most teams did not mask up nor coaches although most teams limited themselves to 2 coaches in the dugout at any given time. All parents and families I saw were properly social distanced as well. Overall, with a few exceptions, most everyone was well behaved and followed the mandatory guidelines. The recommended guidelines not so much.

We will be playing in Canfield this weekend at Field of dreams. Lets see how it goes. We all signed waivers... there is a long list of guidelines. cant wait to see the girls on the dirt again! Will update next week. PLAY BALL!

My daughter will be playing in Canfield this weekend as well. Looking forward to seeing some great ball. Everyone has their own comfort zone and that’s absolutely their right. Strange times. Good luck!

This is better than I’ve seen so far. That’s really great!

We played in Canfield today. Compared to last weekend foe us more guidlines were followed. More space was allowed for the dugout, each team used their own balls. Home plate conferences we OK. All in all a good day and hoping for a great weekend.

I can say that a TD posted all types of rules for their tournament and not one of them were followed. Social distancing no where to be seen it was like Covid 19 never existed. Business as usual.

If you as a TD are going to lay out rules for your tournament you need to follow and enforce them.

It seems like it will depend on if the park is privately owned or if it is a public park

Diluted bleach 8% can be good sanitizer. 1 1/2 t / gallon is for disinfecting surfaces. I would say 3/4 t / gallon would do for hands if in a pinch. Or
1/2 C of vodka or everclear to / gallon water might work.
Must been minimum 75% alcohol to be effective.

We did our first day to day, the only thing we heard feedback on from Health Department was that sme teams were too close in dugout and we provided plenty of room, they just choose not to do it I guess and players and coaches get caught up in game and don't think about it. Otherwise they were happy and complimentary. My advise, this is something you should be looking to enforce maybe a little more and what someone may be looking for. The other that is mandated is a list of participants which must be kept for 30 days. Not sure if this is just Lorain Co., who has been good to work with, but a state directive. I know it came up at our event (And we had them) and an earlier baseball tournament.

Little update. Our team played this past weekend and nothing crazy. Won the tournament. Felt like a normal tournament. Only difference they supplied each team with 3-4 game balls and you kept track of your game balls each game. Everything else was normal. Felt great to be out there and watch the girls knock off the rust.
