Ouch....did the Coach really think the kid/parents would not find out that another game was to be played?

Let's see. If I, as a parent, pull my child during a game, should she still be on the team? Absolutely not. Kind of like a drop third strike. You leave the field of play, and you're out. Granted, the Coach should not have lied to the parent. He should have told them to not come back. I suspect there is more to this story than just the players/parents perspective.

If there is it ain't good for the coach who has avoided the family and the press. She got busted lying and is making it worse running and hiding. Face the music coach.

The dad needs to drop the victim act & own up to pulling the kid in the middle of the game and taking her home starting the whole incident. Coach needs to own up to the lie and get their 15 seconds of fame over. 2 wrongs don't make a right & add a 3rd wrong to WTTE for not including the whole story here and trying to make something out of nothing

I've seen kids pulled because the parent wasn't happy with playing time or position played but this parent pulled the kid because she wasn't swinging the bat causing the team an out each at bat. He did it because she was hurting the team. I think that's different.

That's the Coach's job, not the parent's job. Again, probably more to the story than what was reported.

The coach should have never lied....no doubt. However, the father is acting as if he is innocent and personally I'm not so sure. As I understand it the father pulled this young lady from the game and went straight home before the game was over. I have a feeling that this dad can get a bit evil. I bet pulling his kid from the game was not a pretty sight. Honestly, how many here can say they have politely pulled their child from a game and took them home before the game was over so they could give the child a fun vocabulary test and have a nice talk about being a good teammate and such? I get the feeling this father is a bit of a not so nice, intense individual, if you know what I mean. I also get the feeling that the coach lied so she did not have to deal with the father, not because of the child.

Whether I am right or wrong in my gut feeling, the young lady deserved to stay with the team the entire game where she was pulled and went home, and she should have been part of her team in the semi-finals and finals.
