Freedom Elite 16u - Adams/Santos looking for players

Freedom Elite 16u is based out of Southwest OH (Liberty Township, West Chester, Mason, Monroe area) and we are looking about 4 to 5 players (98 or 99 birthdays) to complete our roster for the upcoming season. The team will be headed by Tim Adams (formerly of the LSO Dominators, Blazers, and the Mason Thunder) and Mark Santos (Valley Storm and Ohio Edge 99). Our motto is "We are the 8%" and our focus will be college showcases and camps. This past season Freedom Elite played in the following tournaments: Best of the Best (Tipp City), Bat Wars, Lasers Invitational, Nashville Elite Invitational, Fire In the Sky, GAPSS, Future Stars 16u/18u (Georgetown KY), and we are currently in Columbus, GA at the 14u "A" ASA Southern Nationals. We completed a 12-week defensive skills training course with former D1 coach and ASA Hall of Famer, Chris Miner, and we have a dedicated sports psychologist for the upcoming season. For the past two years, my DD college coach (Angie Dean - University of the Cumberlands) has hosted a private camp for my teams and this past year she travelled to watch us play at Sinclair Community College Indoor event. We also hosted Coach Dean for a private workout at GAPPERS in Mason, OH for approximately 30 players in the area. We offer excellent training and coaching, a competitive schedule, fun non-softball things (pizza parties, bonfires, laser tag, etc.), volunteer work, and low fees for our families.

This isn't the team for the casual softball player or those who prefer the "friends and family" approach - there is nothing wrong with that; it just isn't us. We demand hard work, dedication, and work outside of practice. We also want our players to be the best students that they can be. I also don't promise playing times, positions, or D1 scholarships either. My goals for these ladies is a good life balance and pursuit of the dream to play at college (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO) - hopefully on OPM (Other People's Money).

All tryouts will held at Walter J. Long fields at 7894 Kyles Station Road Liberty Township, OH 45044 (GPS prefers Middletown, but it is Liberty Township). Tryouts are the following dates:
Thursday August 7th 6pm
Friday August 8th 6pm
Saturday August 9th 2:30pm (Rain Date August 10th - Noon)
Thursday August 14th 6pm
Friday August 15th 6pm
Saturday August 16th 2:30pm (Rain Date August 17th - Noon)

Instead of the traditional TTT/Bump, I wanted to let everyone know that we got home safely from the ASA Southern Nationals in Columbus GA (I got in at 2am this morning after dropping some players off at home). Even though we didn't win, we competed well against some of best teams in the south. We lost 3 games by 1 run and I am very proud of these young ladies for competing with heart and class especially if you consider the injuries to key players and being down 2 of our starting nine (along with 3 more playing with pain). Looking forward to seeing everyone at tryouts - Go FREEDOM!!!

Thursday cannot come soon enough! (Friday and Saturday as well). We have soooo many players expressing interest in our team and looking to come out that it promises to be crazy fun, but difficult. I know Coach Clark is also chomping at the bit for his 16u. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
