DD used the the original GoPro Hero back a few years ago on her helmet. She used it Clinics and playing local travel ball. Since then we upgrade to a Camcorder. I'll add another .02, is the Link Spyder makes mounting to a fence sooo much easier

To the left of the xc1 there is a U with a 1 in it? If so, that is more than capable to handle the video. What recording settings are you running with? I use 1080p @ 30fps. The raw video has this hiccup in it or only after processing? I would see if there is a firmware update for it and contact them if it is still doing it after updating. They will probably want you to try a different card.

its on the raw footage. Im running 1080p 30fps i need a new computer to do the editing

have you tried just uploading it to youtube to see if after they process it, the hiccup is still there?

my card is a sandisk ultra pluse 64gb it has xc1 on it

The ultra plus can accommodate about 48MB per second data transfer. The Extreme Plus (a far better card) and accommodate 90+MB per second of data transfer. This is the card we recommend in our standard GoPro configuration page:
http://www.lynkspyder.com/support/gopro-configuration

And when you say your video isn't smooth, is this playback on your computer or when uploaded to YouTube. If it is on your computer, I would recommend a couple things:
1.) Download and use VLC player to play video locally. This program uses it's own "CODEC" (which is nothing more than a translation system). This plays video much more efficiently.
2.) If you are recording at 60FPS, try bumping down to 30. Some computers will struggle at 60FPS and 30 generally fixes the problem.

EDIT: I saw from another post above that you are already shooting at 30FPS. Try VLC and see if that helps. Also, I am assuming you are not useing the "PROTUNE" option. If you don't know what it is, you probably are not. If you are, definitely turn that off.

Hope this helps,

Make sure you are using a class 10 memory card. You can tell what class it is by looking at the face of the card. There is a C with the number of class it is rated inside of it.

We use a Hero 3+ silver and a Hero 4 when we are able to shoot two camera angles when at a place like firestone park in the video linked below. I know you wanna save some bux but, I saw a tutorial that added a zoom lens to the gopro to be able to zoom and stuff. Kinda pricey and of course you run the risk of bricking your gopro. We also have to use the battery eliminator as well as a power bank to run it all tournament weekend.

What is the "battery eliminator"? Also, do you have this online live during the game? If so, what do you use to do this? If there is no wifi at the field does this use a huge amount of data?

Looking for some thoughts on a new sd card for my hero 3+ black edition. Had a Lexar 64GB card crap out on me Friday. I still have a sandisk extreme plus 64gb card, just need a backup in case it goes bad. I've had both of them for around 200 games, guess it was time for one of them to go.

From all that I have read, you shouldn't go higher than 32 gb for maximum reliability. As far as brands, there are numerous websites that give a list of best cards for each go pro camera. As long as you get one on the list and keep it at or under 32, you should be good.
