Great time at Orland Sparks College Showcase

Our 18U Black and 16U Silver Showcase teams just got back last night from the Sparks Showcase and would like to say we had a awesome time, weather turned out great, and showcase ran flawless. The compltion was topnotch and amount of college coaches there was great. At one of our games I saw at least 15 coaches watching. You had Northwestern, Illinois, Purdue just to name a few of the big ones I saw there. We also had a several Ohio schools represented Ohio Dominican, Youngstown State, Kent State, Wittenberg, Denison.

One other observation I saw was all the teams we played and I saw play seemed to really get the fact that this is a showcase and gave the girls the opportunity to showcase themselves.

I would strongly recommend this Showcase to any Ohio teams ( Only other Ohio team we saw there was Doom). This is a invite only so you need to build your resume and apply there are no guarantee's.

I would like to thank the Sparks for a Great experience and look forward to the summer Sparks Showcase.

I agree Warren, dd played at Orland Sparks Showcase this summer and our experience was similar- TONS of college coaches (the attendance board by the hospitality tent had over 140 coaches signed in), great competition, a 7 game guarantee and you know your schedule for the weekend ahead of time, great facilities, etc!

Nice. You're lucky. We were there the week earlier for the Homer hawks and it was a cold rainy weekend. Still had a good coach showing. Only got in two games and it rained during the games. We did do the Sparks in the summer and it was great with a lot of coaches present. Well run. Both tournaments attract great teams and a lot of coaches.

Ya heard weather was a bummer last weekend. We were very lucky. Also was nice to see that Ohio teams stack up very well against the teams from Chicago talent wise. Did notice the have a lot of lefty slappers on some of there teams.
