Overall a great weekend. The weather cooperated for the most part during the day but we did have about an inch of rain overnight saturday that slowed the start just a little on Sunday. We started one half hour late and by the end of the day it had grown to close to an hour. But the good news is that we got them all in.


In the 10U age group the Ohio Fire team had a great weekend. They pitched very well and deserved the championship.

In the 12U Team Indiana was awesome. They did not give up a run until the championship game (I am pretty sure of this if I am wrong someone please correct me). They had a great weekend.

In the 14U the (which I saw the most of) all of the teams played well and in particular the Cincy Doom (94) team had a solid weekend as did the two teams from Indiana. We (Ohio Wave 14U Rosinski) ended up having to play 5 straight as we forced the what if game against the Indiana Pride and that game ended up 5-1. They were a great team. I would say easily the best team that we have played so far this season. Awesome pitching and a wicked line-up. They were a fun match-up.


We want to say thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this one of our best early Bird tournaments ever. Best of luck to all and we look forward to seeing everyone that will be coming in June.

Thanks for a good weekend. We were happy to get some games in with the weather we have had so far this year. Enjoyed the games we had with your team Rich. Both of the last 2 games could have gone either way. I'm sure we will see each other over the course of the summer. To all my young ladies. Great Job,let's keep working to improve.

Wanted to say thanks to the Wave for a great weekend. Very well run tourney, for anyone looking for a place to play this is a great complex and well orgainized place.

Congratulations to the Ohio Fire 10U (Champs) and Springfield Bandits (Runners Up) they both had a great weekend. All of the kids from both teams should be proud of what they accomplished this weekend you all left it between the lines.

Hugh, thanks for the nice words and you have an excellent young team there. The games between your team and the Ohio Fire were fun to watch.

We work hard to put on a nice event. The Ohio Wave organization works together with the local organization that owns the softball complex (Greenville Girls Softball Assoc.) and they actually run the concessions as a fundraiser for them. I have to say that their prices, service and variety are as good as we have seen anywhere. The only downside to the complex over the years has been the fact that they did not have permenant restrooms facilities. Well that will not be the case in 2009 as they are breaking ground for a huge Concession and restroom building that will be situated right in the middle of the complex. The concession will have full kitchen and grill service and heres the good news... the womens restrooms will actually have more toliets then the mens restroom. There will also be a large indoor room for people to get in out of the sun during the hot days and have a bite to eat. When it is complete it will rival any in the state of Ohio. They have made plans to light the two diamonds that currently do not have lighting so we look to be able to host even better events in future.

Big thanks to GGSA for their efforts this weekend in preparing the complex.

Thanks for all the kind words of Stebbins feild and the Greenville girls softball association. We are very proud of the complex and the direction is growing. We always feel like the Ohio Wave puts on a quality tournament to represent the high standards at Greenville girls softball association.
