Paniesville Harvey HS has annouced that they will be leaving the Northeast Conference and moving to the Chargin Valley Conference, my DD doesn't attend Harvey so their decision to go has no direct bearing on my family but I was wondering what would go into the decision making process that would cause them to leave one and go to another?
Their girls teams struggled somewhat in the NEC but the boys did very good, the football team had a great season, I think they won the Conference. the CVC has a lot more schools in it then the NEC so from a competitive stand point I don't think it is going to be a move that will catapult them to a dominate team(big fish small pond kinda thing) in the new league.
So what would cause a school to move? I am probably missing the obvious.
Any insights from HS coaches into the inner working of our school system would be appreciated.
