Helicopter Parents

IM a pitchers parent and head coach right now but I dont hardly even speak to my DD while she is on the mound unless its positive...thats how she wants it. I let my assistant do all the talking to her during games. But very stressful when she is on mound vs. anywhere else. I am much more relaxed when I have another pitcher on the mound.

All these posts are making me lean towards catcher more for my 10u. Besides, she looks so bad a*# in the catchers equipment!:lmao:

Wouldn't blame you a bit! The pitchers sometimes get all the glory, even though they rely on their defense, but the mental side of what a pitcher goes through is pretty tough! If a team loses, more often than not, the pitcher will take on that loss as her own. And it is charged to her as a loss as well. Really is a pressure position on the field.
