hey..can anyone recommend a good fundraiser? i'm looking for one that is quick and actually works. last season we sold mags and cookie dough. it was a pain in the neck and the players/parents hated doing it....probably because we didn't raise much either and it took more time than everyone thought. thanks for any ideas you can share.

Beer & Wings night at a local place always nets a couple $k. It really depends on how much you are looking to make. Car washes are good for some quick cash, although the season isn't friendly for those right now.

We have done all kinds of things from superbowl squares, final four brackets, pick 3 drawing to full blown Texas Hold'em tournaments and Reverse raffle dinners. They all produce a good profit, but it all boils down to how much work you want to do. Try selling sponsorships on your uniforms or team banner.

Here is a contact I just got an email from about coupon books that seems to be legit:

We have done very well with a football bowl pool and march madness pool. You can pay out 60% of the entry fee and still make 350-500 with each. Last year we did a Hog Raffle, we gave away 2 prizes of 1/2 Hog each plus the processing. You have about $400 invested but at $10 per ticket that is easy to cover. I believe we cleared about $1300

have a chipotle night. ask the local chipotle manager for half the profits with the flyer. our high school softball team did that and they raised a lot of money with no hassle at all

host a dunking booth with Scott Cienti as the guest. Sell Beer , take side bets on how many dunks before he erupts into the thrower's. That ought to raise 10K lol

We do poker tournaments and raise $105 per person that attends. It is the easiest, most fun thing we do.

We use the discount cards for local food places, bowling alleys and such, its a gold card and is easy turn around, and they usually give you free cards on top which when you sell the free cards it pays for the whole order and the cards you sell are all profit, look it up its a gold card and it sells, you can also go back to the same place next year to take part, and renew it every year.
