Warcat coaches,
as we were seeing red after our bracket game Sunday, my wife noticed a cool little drill one of your teams were doing over by field 3/4 before the game...could you send some info on that..It had to do with being at a spot where the ball was hit instead of just rote hit and catch outfield drills...

and for all the other OFC=ers, any drills/games that will help get the blahs out
i know there was a website i used some time ago, maybe someone can help

What age group? I will talk to that coach and ask them.

Once I know the age group I will probably know the drill.

I will ask both teams coaches. It could be either coaching group. The high school coaches are happy to have two teams at the 14u level with very good coaches. Ron Gould and Steve Schirtzinger as well as their assistants are always doing drills with the players rather than just warming players up. This drill sounds like a Kelbley drill that the coaches might have been using but I am not sure.

You were watching the 14u Gould team doing a drill that we use at Westerville Central that I stole ( learned ) from Kelbley.

There are many variations to it but it incorporates communicating, relays, catching ground balls and fly balls for outfielders. It is a great drill that can be used in conjunction with a warm-up even if you only have a few minutes.

It is difficult to explain but I would be happy to demonstrate it sometime for you.

You can e-mail me if you would like.
