So you read it or saw it? You implied that they ran it up. They subbed early and everyone played.

It should be impossible to run up the score in a state semi-final game, that's up to the defense to get some outs. It would be more disrespectful to not try to keep scoring early in the game.

Piazza and his Keystone teams always play with class. Congrats to them for another fine season.

I agree. I know Jim Piazza. Jim Piazza is my friend. And you, sir, are no Jim Piazza. ;)

Thought they would have done better since they dropped from D3 to D4 this year.

Wow! So I guess dropping from D-3 to D-4 means you should automatically win the whole thing? The made it to the State Final Four. Not even sure why I replied to such a stupid comment!

Not taking anything away from Lakewood,Saw most of key players still playing when up by 10 vs Ross.
Was it the seniors?? And didn't I hear that every player got in that game and from the looks of the bench on Saturday they had a lot of players.
Would it of been better if they started leaving bases early?????

Colleges are moving them back. Ohio needs to do the sames. It is hard enough for an Ohio player to get a shot in a "great" DI program. I have seen many High schools at 220 to 235 in Center and 200 in the corners. Either BBCOR the bats or deepen the fences. Of course the hot corners and the pitcher are in more danger than ever.

Probably see a higher rate of HRs in hs due to pitching not a good than at travel level,210 to 220 would be good enough to slow the hr rate.

Keystone lost to a very good Lakewood team who had one great inning. Lakewood deserved and earned the Championship!

Keystone did not "run up" the score against Ross. 19 player's played in the game for Keystone. 5 starters came out in the third inning! 4 Freshman, 7 Sophomores, 5 Juniors and 3 Seniors all played. I bet that is a "STATE" record, since prior to last year only 18 were allowed on the roster!!!

Matter of fact it became very confusing as to who and what position everyone was playing. Amazed no one batted out of order!!!!

I love it when folks start whining about Keystone "Not playing anyone"......Let's compare some scores

Lakewood 7-0, 10-0, Regional Scores
Keystone 5-0, 11-0, Regional Scores

So I guess if their theory is correct, neither Lakewood or Keystone played anyone.

Or maybe they were just the best two teams in Div. II this year.

Lakewood was the best team in Ohio in any division all season long and if you dig into their schedule 1-33 it will become pretty obvious. Most of them are Juniors. Top 20 team in the USA for a reason.
