When I bought the package, my daughter had already committed to a college team. She had been working with a hitting instructor for a couple years who seems to have taught her the right stuff, so I wasn't going to mess with that!
I have a younger son, so I bought the baseball "models" for pitching & hitting. You can buy separate models, which are basically an extensive set of video clips of various pros (lots of them) pitching and hitting. The softball hitting models had not been released when I purchased the system, but I think they're available now. I'm of the belief that hitting is essentially the same mechanics anyway, but someone who has the softball hitting models may want to add some input.
You basically buy the Capture Viewer and Instruction Player as the heart of the system. Then you buy whatever models you want. Use a DV Tape camcorder with a tripod for capture. Then feed it into your computer via a Firewire cable. Actually you could use this thing on a golf swing if you wanted.
PurpleJack's correct - it shows you where you are and where you need to go, but it's up to you to figure out how to get there!
