Workhouse Fastpitch is taking registration for 10U, 12-14U, and 16-18U Indoor leagues now. Workhouse features one of the only Hittrax Game Simulators in the Midwest. The HIttrax allows for live pitching and hitting in a cage setting without the need for full teams. Please check out the Hittrax features at http://www.hittraxbaseball.com/video/HITTRAX_VIDEO_110213_2.mp4. While the promo shows baseball, the Hittrax at Workhouse is set up for softball dimensions. The Hittrax allows for simulated play in almost all Major League Stadiums, but set for normal softball dimensions depending on age group. It also allows for simulated play at Arizona Softball stadium. The Hittrax simulator calls balls and strikes, provides pitch speed, exit ball velocity, and distance. It is like playing a real game, but on a video screen! This allows for fewer players required per team, thus allowing for multiple at bats for each player/game. The Hittrax calls a true strike zone based on each hitter. Players get immediate feedback when they offer and miss pitches out of the strike zone, as well as quality of each hit.
Games will last 1 hour and 5 minutes, and in that time teams comprised of 4-5 players can expect a minimum of 4-6 AB's each game, and sometimes more. Each team MUST provide a Pitcher and Catcher at minimum. We would suggest 2 other players, however it is not required.
Cost is $700/team for a 6 week session.
12-14 League will play from 4-9 on Friday evenings
10U League will play from 4-9 on Saturday evenings
16-18 League will play from 4-9 on Sunday evenings
We will expand these times as demand requires, but spots are limited, so register now to secure a spot.
This is an outstanding opportunity for HS players to get in QUALITY reps in a fun, game
like setting, and is great for travel teams to get in quality competition over the winter months.
Play will begin in session 1 on November 11, 12, and 13. We will offer 2 additional sessions after the New Year, one running 6 weeks, and 1 running 4 weeks. The 4 week session will be $450/team.
