I think it is hard to keep 4 happy. You are in for a long season with 4 You will have unhappy campers.

If you have 2 horses and a pony will you be splitting up play time 40%/40%/20%, If you have a 1,2, and 3 is it 50%,30%, and 20%. Most of your horses want at least 40% plus or at least their parents will, and will a pony stick around for 1 opportunity to pitch every 10th game.

You could do 1 every pool game(Usually 3 games) and then your top 2 on Sunday. With possible time for number 3 but no guarantee's

I can tell you for a FACT that four is too many. We had four pitchers in 2008 and two sets of parents and players were very unhappy. Your best bet is to have three pitchers max, preferably two starters and one spot filler.

could not pay me to take 4 pitchers again. 2 and 1 is the way to go!

All correct 4 is too many if they are all starters - HOWEVER - you will need 4 to go all the way at nationals - so make very sure 2 are starters, 2 are fillers and must play other positions to make them useful - do not fool around - let the player and the parent no upfront what the deal is.

2 Pitchers and a couple ball players that can pitch would be ideal. You cant go wrong having a couple girls on tha team that can throw a couple innings to get you out of a jam, but are better suited to another position.
