There is nothing wrong with giving teams credit if you think they are really good teams. If you turn out to be wrong so what its just an opinion and thats what the board is for.

NO PEPPER
The other reason I dont care for this type of thread is because anyone on this for the last 5 years or more will tell you it gets ugly and personal with a lot of parents . I have seen it happen year after year. All it ends up doing is creating more bad blood amoung parents which ,believe me, is something this sport does not need. Stand by a concession stand at a tourney and just listen to what is being said by adults about kids, not pretty. just trying to stop problems before they stop. Now I have said what I feel i needed to so if people want to continue this so be it.,

We have a lot of Softball players in the state of Ohio, And yes we even have some great organizations that seem to have better weekends then others. If you take away the great parents and the kids Ohio is left empty. I can agree with lightning. It is about the kids learning and playing lets be good fans and watch all of them play.

Oh well, I guess I'll bite on this one...lol. At 14U I'll say Lasers Purple, Pitt. Spirit Gold and Indiana Shockwaves Red. At 12U I'll say Ohio Ice, Stingray's-Seeds and Lasers Orange. At 10U it's way too early to tell!!! And at 16 and 18U-I don't have a clue, maybe a vetern coach at these age groups can share what they know? BTW none of my DD's play for any of the above mentioned teams...lol. ;)

I have no daughter on the team but I think the 14 stingrays also will be very good. With all due respect to lightning coach I see nothing wrong with giving the kids credit for having a great team as long as your not bashing any teams.

ALLRIGHT!!!!! :D Please remember we keep score and hand out trophies for a reason and it is just a game. 14 Stingrays look good to me.

Instead of trying to figure out who the best team is this year before they even play any game, first try just listing all the teams and their caoches in each age bracket. I started this in the 13U thread and the list is starting to grow. Iwould be really curious to see how many teams there really are at every level. No ranking, just a list of 8U,9U,10U,11U,12U......Etc. Give a shout out to your team and coach with no pressure of team ranking!!

No,but its fun to predict the unknown. If we knew who the good teams were it wouldn't be predicting would it.I would throw power becker in as a top 14 team also.

What about the Maddogs? Ice? Bandits? I'm not sure if the Bandits are still around, but they used to be a very good team. Maddogs seem to always put together a strong team and from what I hear the Ice are a tough team as well. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Have never seen the Maddogs or Bandits, so I'm no help there. The Ohio Ice on the other hand are most always playing deep into Sundays.

The Ohio Bandits 18U ARE VERY good, so is the Valley Sting, Grandslam, Cincy Elite, Ohio Wolfpack, Miami Valley Express, Maddogs Gold, Stingrays, Ohio Ice, Tigerlillies, CokenIce, Lasers and many other teams I'm sure I'm leaving out.

No one person gets to see everyone play in a summer. It is very hard to say who is the best. Like it or not, the teams that people talk about the most are usally the best teams, because the bottom line is THESE TEAMS WIN!!!

I would think no_pepper is right in adding 14u Power-Becker, they had a very good year last year at 14u. Not sure how many returning players, but I would assume the majority.

My computer brought these old threads up from years past and thought I would post on how the organizations have evolved.
