Howard Kobata  and a big thank you!

Hi all,

Other than next weekend, when I will be at a wedding, will Howard Kobata be anywhere else in Ohio this fall where I and our local area association president can attend?

I have been doing some of his stuff after seeing him a few years ago (THANKS JOE!), but we finally have a coach in charge of all our summer teams who is willing to bring him in if he could see him in action first. His daughter put one of my tapes in the VCR and it ate it, and I can't remember who I lent the first one to.

I want to thank all of you who have sent me sound advice over the last few years. I know I have asked some crazy questions, but this past year we finished our HS season at 21-7, best ever for our school, and lost to the eventual state champion in the regional semi-final 2-0. (We are a small rural WV school.) Thanks again!

Howard Kobata in action is amazing. He was non-stop for 3 hours and he demanded best out of our girls. I would highly recommend hosting his clinic.

Rampage was honored to have Howard in March, and I was able to get a return visit in October.
We have not worked out all the details on location, but we may have some openings available.
I will be posting information on possible openings in the next few weeks.
We are looking to have him in the New Castle PA area with a team from Ohio and from PA sharing the honors since there is no longer Rampage teams. We will take up to 14 girls per session BUT ONLY GIRLS WILLING TO GIVE HOWARD 150% for a total of 7-8 hours over two days.

He is nothing but amazing !!

I wouldn't need or necessarily want to bring any girls- I just want this parent (association president) to see him first hand where I can be there with him. Please let me know and I'll be reading.... Thanks

Wish you would have posted this a few days ago...he just flew out of Cleveland to return home. He was here with the Ohio Ice 13u team and he was amazing. You should contact him directly.

From what I understand his schedule is already full for the next year or so. We have him at our Mega Clinic on Sept 8th and we were trying to book another date during the winter but there were none available. He is trying to clear a day in Feb that he may be able to attend at The Academy again, but it is a wait and see at the moment.

For those of you who have never seen him, this guy is the best. If you believe in defense you have to see this guy and have your players work him. Still a few spots available on saturday if interested.

CONGRATS on your HS season. I know from your past posts that you really worked hard to get things on track and I love to see hard work rewarded.

Thanks! It's always good hearing from you. Our kids worked hard in season, but I still can't convince the parents the importance of high caliber off-season competition.

We did Kobata drills everyday in practice, and worked on rotating hard when hitting. We emphasized wrist snaps, but not rolling the wrists until well after contact, snapping to extension. Of course it helps to have a first team all-state pitcher. If we just could have given her some support in the big game.

Anybody who can get a chance to see this guy and have him work with your DD I highly recommend it. There is none better.
