Alright Ex-Man, I don't blame you for backing the T-Town ladies. I see in the paper this morning all the lovelies of Frogtown took the night off to rest up for the day's work ahead of them. Well you know me and my stunning twin are pulling for those NLL teams to put up a good battle. I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy about the girls from Southview, Springfield, Perrysburg and Rossford today.
Between this event and Maumee's pre-season round robin, there's a bunch of good things happening with NWO softball.

Springfield/NDA was 7-2

Michalak had a No hitter going into the 5th. 11k's, 4 Hits
Christine Zapone had 3 rbi's

The lead off for NDA had 2 infield hits, very fast runner.

Michalak pitched a good game, I think one of those hits was probably a wind aided misplay lol, I think only one ball was hit hard. The leadoff for NDA is Paige Gallaher and your right she can motor. Bandeen hit a ball about 200' that never got more then 8' off of the ground, she smoked that ball. Springfield is a good team nothing to be ashamed of losing to them.

I have to say the kid that impressed me the most today was Hayli Erdman, pitched all of Whitmer's innings, beat Rossford and then pitched very well against P'burg, while hitting in the #2 spot. I think Hayli is a gamer.

Gotta agree Uber. Even though my team had the toughest draw and came up short, it was a lot of fun. Let's hope it continues, albeit on a larger scale.

It was a very nice event and I truly enjoyed seeing old friends and players. Great games!
Only thing I would change would be the WIND!!!!!

Felt more like fall ball.

Hope to do it again next year.

I disagree if you add all teams some of the games will get way out of hand and that would not be fun. Make it special and give the teams somthing to shoot for. Top 5 works for me.

The weather was cold my warm climate heridity did not do me any favors today, however it was a blast to watch the teams you read about on here and see the different players and families my DD has played travel softball with was awsome. I think just about all of my DD's travel teamates were playing today-all but 1?

And was Wondering lets Just Say Tol-City League Won wear would the Trophy Go?, :-? :-? To be displayed :-? :-? also other way around wear would NLL put it? :-?

Thunder Wear are you ? I know you might of had a Bad Day (Well Your Beloved did). But for One look at That AW(the beloved) schedule"Tough" (like Uber said) has.
And now AW record hmmm and Still looking very good, don't want to play your team in states run..

Yeah I dont think you could invite all the teams unforunately some of the TCL programs are ready for that yet, would loved to see Bowsher, BG and Maumee there. Maybe more games could be played in the Challenge? It was still pretty cool, softball in NWO is WAY underrated state wide.

Ex -Man, ?I'm right here dude,(Thunder). ?When I got home I had some races to catch up on and got a good night's sleep. 12 games in 13 days was good stretch of work for A.W.

I think this a great idea also, getting the 2 leagues together. I didn't get to watch any other games, but if I was a parent for the day, what an oportunity to see so many play. It reminded me of when I was a kid. Every Saturday at 9 am our whole league played at the same time at the rec center. At the end of the game you would go stand by the league standings board and wait for them to post scores and change the records.

As for A.W., we didn't do very well yesterday. Win or lose I think we generally play better than we did. We had a very solid week after losing to Perrysburg a week ago and yesterday we definitely didn't look like that team. Hats off to St. Ursula and Clay.
