I have heard your's is a very good tournament that's why we hate to miss it.
Our team has gone to Zanesville every year since we started playing 10u and we are now going into 16u and it is our last tournament of the season every year.
It has become a tradition and they look forward to it all season.
Good luck to you all!

I don't see how 2 tournaments that far from each other are competition - I simply stated it's too bad they are on the same weekend every year.
The director is a great guy and they don't have to worry about anyone "taking teams".
They had 70 teams last year and that is less than it used to be after he cut down the number he would take because he stopped using one of the field locations because they were not kept in good condition.
This is a well established tournament and you have to book hotels a year in advance or you won't get one.
You get to play at least 6 or 7 games, teams come from all over the place and it is nice to play teams that you don't see all of the time.
Why do people love to go on a girls softball forum and bash others doing the same thing?

I don't hear any bashing, just conversation and opinions, as there well should be on any open forum. Both tourneys are great, but the Jamboree got so big that one little hiccup with weather and alot of teams went home early with very few games played, no room for error was built in. Now that he has shrunk the field of teams, I'm hopeful things are better.

weluvit I told the td the same thing when he called me, and I would hope this wasn't a trap to see if I would bite to try to get you to come to my tournament???
Zansville is a huge tournament that should not worry about me taking teams for my little 8 team tournament. my tournament is small for a reason. I'm 1 team not an organization running a tournament to fund our team. I don't have enough help to expand. I've been asked the last few years to let more teams in and more age groups. Many teams that come back every year do so because they prefer the size and price. that is nothing against zansville it's just a preference of what kind of tournament they want in.

Unbelieveable - I would never involve myself or my team in any kind of baiting or trapping like that and I can't believe you said that - you don't even know who I am or what team I coach.
I simply stated that I have heard that your's is a fun tournament and that I hated it was on the same weekend every year.
This was very insultin so don't worry we wouldn't come there now even if we weren't going to Zanesville.

You and your Husband do a great job running this tournament. That is why we keep coming back. Bigger is not always better. If you keep the teams happy they will return

Thanks coaches for your support, We must be doing something right I fill up faster every year we are already over half full and I just had this post up week. I will post teams entered tomorrow.

weluvit I apologize if that was not your intentions, I too was offended by the accusations last year and your posts were a little fishy so I assumed it had something to do with that. good luck on your season

It is obvious this is all a huge misunderstanding.
I know "weluvit" and they really were just complimenting your tourney and the fact that they are unable to do both. They were genuinely offended that they were accused of trying to cause trouble and trap anyone.
I don't see how those comments were fishy and neither did they BUT we don't know of your experience with others that has caused you to be suspicious.
Seriously though folks they did not mean anything vicious or try to trick anyone.
