Pretty large increase in fees. Since the SDS teams have dismantled except for the 12U, who will the tournament proceeds go to?

With this being the 4th year we have hosted these events, the privious year the cost was $300 with 60 & 65 minute time limits AND a $5 per person door fee. This year we have increased the time limits to 70 minutes and did AWAY with the door fee. This years events are actually cheaper than years past. This is a reasonabe and compatable price for 3 games at an indoor facility.

The time limits were always 70 minutes, the entry fee used to be $250 and the door fee was $3. I made the flyers every year but last year. Just curious, is this a team fundraiser?

Greg, this will be a fundraiser for winter practices for the Miami Valley Vipers, if there is anymore information you would like to ask, please feel free to contact me anytime for further details. We are very glad to be involved with this fundraiser and hope all teams can play as many dates as possible.

Thanks

Actually at $330 with no gate it went down from last year if each kid averages out to 3 visitors some bring more some less at your $250 that equals out to $350. And does it really matter who gets the money. Good luck with your round robins. It's not cheap to run a indoor facility . Ask the people that used to own the Thunder plex or GFOD

Thank you......

Just to clarify, the indoor tournaments in years past had always been $300. The All Nighters were $250.....

Everyone is so caught up on the cost and profits from this event that they forgot to ask the question that keeps resounding on every other thread of the OFC...

What pitching distance will you use for the 14U teams at this facility this year: 40' or 43'?

Hey CrazyJerry,
The pitching distance for 14U teams will be 40' unless ASA changes their rules before the events. Even thought the indoor events are not santioned, we will still play by ASA rules.

Played in this 2 years ago and loved the all-nighters... great bonding experience for a group before everyone gets outside for the spring.
Good competition in the past... just wondering are these going to be all day events, or are you looking at doing the all nighters again?

Back on topic here....

For thoses that have not played in the facility before the field deminsions are 95' wide and 175' long. Base paths are set at the regulation 60' and pitching distances will be set at 40' (12U/14U) and 43' (16U). Teams can play with 9 defenders and all balls are playable (no foul balls from hitting ceiling nets). Players can wear molded cleats or tennis shoes, whichever they prefer. All games will be 70 minute, finish the inning. There is plenty of room for all spectators and again, this year there will be NO door fee.

We have been contacted by several teams inquiring on the indoor events. Only having one field, time allows us to only take 6 teams each event so if you want to get on the list let me know.

Thanks

The price seems a bit expensive. There's a difference in a fundraiser and financing the ?
