I understand that indoor space is pricey but charging $400 plus for a 3 gg? Get out out of here!

What's reasonable. Make sure you take into account the hourly facility rental, umpires, balls, and profit if it's a fundraiser. It seems expensive, but reasonable.

That is a good price...I remember paying over $400 for four NSA games in Ft Wayne back in 2009.

The Sinclair events in Dayton OH are a good price and run pretty well "if" you can get in...

I guess I should've started of with 3 game round robins and or 3 gg. Yes, indoor anything isnt cheap but most would just prefer to get some live action occasionally over real tournament during the winter. Imo. As for sinclair, I believe its only 6 teams and full and only one time deal. Driving from SWO way up north above Columbus isnt feasible either.

That sounds reasonable to me. Get all the games you can in the fall, because winter rental fees are very pricey!

It is pricey to host a indoor tournament as we are hosting one Jan 30 in Erie. 6 team 3gg for $390 and get the dome for 15 hours and there is no profit - just enough to pay for rental, umps, balls, and medals etc.... etc. Just giving the girls a little extra softball time when we can't get outdoors.

Oh, the joys of raising a softball player and living in Ohio! No profit, many hours of work..thank you!

Sounds like you just want to find a friendly with a team that has a facility.
East Central High school out in St Leon used to do a weekend or two with double headers out of their field house. They also had 3 game fall friendly’s outside but it’s been years since we played there.

To get an idea of indoor cost SWOBAT wants $750 for five indoor January games. http://www.swobatsportscomplex.com/SWOBAT.php?page=About

I still think the SC events are your best bang for your buck if you can get in.(Teams need to plan accordingly for any winter events since they are so limited).
SC usually will run several weekends at various age groups. The ladies get to face live pitching and get to play basically 3 friendly’s for a decent price.
When Colerain stopped doing SWOBAT in 2012 we did two tournaments at SC one HS the other a 16/18U mix of teams in 2012 and 2013.
Lebanon and a couple other HS did the same thing for the money its worth a little drive.

Tiffin University has the best value IMO. Excellent facility, 9 on 9. Fully turfed 60 yard football field with temp fencing. Over the past couple years we've played good competition such as Compuware, Buckeye Heat, Blackhawks, OH Starz and others there. $200- you cant beat that. They may be sold out though. They are able to keep the cost down because they own the facility, the staff umpires games, and it is a program fundraiser. We always have fun there. 3- 1 hour drop dead games. Very hospitable. It's a D-1 facility at a D-2 school
