I'm working on a new format for the Jamboree I'm calling this new format ---- Double Elimination Bracket PLUS, I would like some Coachs to follow the link below and give me some input on this type of format. I'm trying this out to help reduce the amount of teams that don't stick around for there 6th game due to the game not meaning anything but just getting a 6th game. This new format mean that every game you play counts in Bracket play.. The only thing, I'm not sure if teams would be ok with this type of format..

Please check it out all comments welcome.. If anyone has every played in a tournament were they dove tail in teams to give them there last game and a chance to be back in the brackets please let me in on it.. .

Is this for all age groups? I like double elimination better than single.

I'm going to have to think on this one a little, but it certainly does make things interesting...

jonnies thank for the flowers and kind words..

We give 6 games but in order to have two div in a age group we need at least 12 teams or more..

maybe if you did something like that in the consy bracket rather than the champ bracket. they still lost their first game which means that they have to work more to get to the finals.

Check out the NSA state tourney brackets. Lose first game go into loser bracket. Then generally, lose second game, play someone who lost first game and won second game. This adds the third game in the losers bracket to fight their way back out. One note on this is that a loser bracket bye (due to number of teams) counts as a game.

Actually I assumed that is how you were doing it as I had seen in in other places.
