Last year we let the Teams Bat up to 11 girls, we did this by request of Coaches. They wanted to have a chance to get more girls in the game with out all the hassles that come along with the rules.

Since everyone like that allot and wanted the same thing in 2011, I was thinking of making a couple of changes and make everything really simple.

Line Up & Batting

Teams can use Continuous Batting order in Pool Play or Bracket Play-Coaches Choice

If Player(s) get injured, team(s) wouldn't face any penalty unless you're below the Mandatory 9 Batters in your line up

Free Substitutes

Teams may remove and replace players on Defense with out penalty.

Substitutes will be made before defense take the field, unless you have a injury or you're Changing Pitchers.

This Rule Change was Giving to the ASA Umpire In Charge (UIC) Before he started doing the schedule.

We also posted this information inside the Tournament Info Packet

My ASA Umpire in Charge (UIC) was not present at the Jamboree due to going on Vacation to work the ASA National and we had a a Stand in (UIC)
who I felt did a great job helping with the umpire problems we ran into all week-end.

We had a problem keeping ump on Friday due to the heat and we also had allot of no shows on Saturday that put another twist into the Rules Changes.

I really felt that from a (TD) point that I miss the boat on this and should have posted the Rule Changes at each Diamond before the start of the tournament.

We had allot of problem in 2011 more then we have had in the past and were looking into making some big changes in 2012 one of them will be to down size the tournament to a more manageable size.

I think that we have the staff we need to run the tournament and I think my Staff did a great job. Because almost everyone on my staff had to make up for the short coming that we had with the umpires that were missing.

I talk with a few umps and they told me allot of the ump that we have had in the past for the Jamboree went to Columbus, Ohio to work the tournament at Berliner.

Thanks
