My son grabbed a decent amount of cash for school in a non revenue sport. He's red shirting next year but he still got enough from athletics and other stuffs and he will be paying a little bit of nothing.
When he's actually in the line up I would imagine he's going to be paying $0.00.
The biggest chunk of the money he got is from grades + ACT score. That alone is paying for well over half of it.
It's not football, there aren't 85 scholarships to go around, and let's face it, good is good.
Everyone has been taught how to swing a bat, how to slide, to field with their glove foot forward, etc. When a coach has a choice between buring a full scholarship and an eighth or a quarter of one though it makes it pretty easy decision.
