Things to expect from the Lake Erie Rage Organization:
The Lake Erie Rage organization puts an emphasis toward positive coaching methods. Our coaches use positive coaching to motivate and inspire players to evolve into a more prepared athlete mentally and physically. We do not place winning over the development of our players, but winning certainly is the measuring stick of development. We are seeking players who have a strong desire to continue their softball career into college at any level or have the desire to be a four-year starter in high school.

The 14u 03 Lake Erie Rage team places a heavy emphasis on preparation for the college recruitment process as the recruitment age gets younger and younger every year. Through coaching and organizational e-mails, we educate our players to understand how their performance, effort, and attitudes are perceived by college coaches every time they take the field. Our coach's record information needed for college profiles and create a college profile for our players. Season goals for 2017/2018 are to play in showcase tournaments, have players attend college camps and play in the strongest ASA, USSSA AND NSA tournaments possible.

What we are looking for in a player:

Candidates should have a passion for the game and be willing to work hard on perfecting her skills through practices and on her own outside of team practices. We are looking for a player who exudes energy, personifies hustle and brings joy and enthusiasm to the dugout because of their love for the game. Most of all, players with a desire to win, will push her teammates to be better and be the player who wants to make the difference every pitch or play of the game.

What we are looking for from a player's family:

Lake Erie Rage places a strong emphasis on positive coaching. We expect the same from family members attending games. Player's family members should carry themselves in a manner consistent with that goal -- offering positive support and praise of every player during games.
The family members of players represent our organization from the sidelines. All Lake Erie Rage coaches have an open door policy. Please remember there is a proper time, place for discussions and it most definitely is never during a game. We do not allow parents to visit players in the dugout during games and frown upon coaching from the sidelines. Where we respect and understand most parents have been involved with or work with their daughters at home, please understand and respect you have turned them over to us during organizational events, practices or games.
