what do the girls do when they are tooooo old for travel teams or are out of high school? saw one today that was a fantastic player in her day (shes 21)
now shes playing slo pitch on sundays with her mom and dad. and on tuesdays with her state 2005 state champs coach. :yahoo::lmao: they are having a blast. her granny is having knee surgery so she can play with them next year...

Buckeye Heat has a 23U team that still may be looking for players. I know there are several other 23U teams still out there. Good Luck!!!

One thought comes to mind if fastpitch is no longer and option to play.....I personally love to see the former players come back and give back ......the young girls look up to the older players....what a great way to keep the interest high and the kids off the street. Take a team.........coach them for awhile........it may be very rewarding in different light than in the past but never-the-less very rewarding.

My DD is a junior playing in college. She is assisting me coach a travel team after getting her feet wet coaching a 14u rec team last summer. The AD at her h.s. school told her when she comes home she can have the varsity softball job if she wants it.
She filled in on a 18 & over team last season where the catcher was 27 yrs old, and the 1st baseman was 26 and was playing 6 weeks after giving birth to her 2nd child. These women had a ball playing. so you can play as long as you want, but im sure theres a point where it ends. Thats what grandchildren will be for....:yahoo:

i dont look forward to the day fastpitch ends i do believe dd will move on fine dad i am not so sure about lol. i will probably continue coaching or maybe umpire and try to make back some of money i spent with two dd s in travel softball.well it s an idea anyway

I still play in a fastpitch league and I'm 37. My sisters and all our friends who played high school ball, travel ball, and college ball play with us. It is a great time and I don't see us stopping anytime soon.

Once my youngest dd moves onto college I guess I'll take the money that I spent on them and use it to build up a program here and stay involved. By then I should have my oldest dd pay for my way in life since she'll be playing for the New York Symphony Orchestra (that's her dream once softball ends).

my niece is going to play with her coaches from the 2005 state champ spartans, she cant wait to tell them what they are doing not quite right. lol
