Hitting and Hitters Discussion Looking for bat recommendation

Daughter is a senior and her yellow Catalyst (33/23) is dead. Looking for a bat recommendation ... she liked the feel of the Catalyst and we wanted to try to keep in the $200 (vs. $300) price range. She doesn't like the end loaded bats. Any ideas on bats and/or best places to test/buy them would be appreciated. Thanks!

Synergy, my DD has used them for 3 yrs.

For a drop 10 bat, I like the Gray Synergy. It seems to have a lot of pop right out of the box and it's not as temperature sensitve as some other bats.

Miken has the best bats on the market.

Maybe a dumb questiom on my part but why not go with a new catalyst?

Epthunter ... remember hearing unfavorable comments about the blue Catalyst and I see they are selling fairly cheaply so putting 2 and 2 together but maybe in error. I know they have a new red/orange one out now but not willing to pay $279 especially if the model in between wasn't that stellar. DD loved the yellow one though ...

i had a yellow cat...broke it, then louisville sent me a new light blue one, broke two more of those. needless to say the light blue cats were junk. however i had my yellow bat for almost two years and loved it. since my most recent blue catalyst i got a brand new orange one. and i love it. it is a much better bat than the light blue and well worth the money IMHO. also if the first one breaks sent it back and they will replace it.

The Halo Light is a very good bat. Very light and has some good pop. Great for slappers.

DD has used the Easton Synergy the last 2 years---luv the way it makes a quiet "click" noise when she hits the ball just right ~ ?then it rockets outta the park. ?

Don't know a lot about bats, but have been told the stronger the girl, the heavier the bat she should use---is this true???

And are end-loaded bats usually heavier, and therefore better for bigger girls???

If she doesn't like end-loaded, go with the Synergy.
