Sandman, it's nice that you are pursuing the extra education for coaching fastpitch. From what I've seen, over the past 30 years in this sport (as a player, non-parent coach, parent), I think just keeping an open mind and being willing to try new techniques and ideas, is really the only way to better your softball knowledge. Kudos to you! Good luck!

The NFCC run by a select bunch of NFCA members is by far the absolute best coaching clinic experience you can have. It's not cheap aqnd takes time. Travel is involved. They are the the first group to put together such an indepth program with world class instructors. The course is college accredited and your time can, if you choose, to go towards credits for a Masters Degree in Kinesiology. Your instructors are the likes of Pat Murphy, Jay Miller, Sharon Drysdale, Bill Edwards, Mike Candrea, and the list goes on. Each clinic normaly includes at least 3 notable coaches while many others will be your classmates.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) hosts the National Fastpitch Coaches College (NFCC) and is a traveling show during the winter months. This week they are in Vegas for their annual convention that raps up tonight with a banquet and the induction of nominees into the Hall of Fame. To start the convention, a coaches course was given to begin the week and another started today and members will be staying over to complete. The courses are underwritten (??? if that's the right term) by the Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. Throughout the winter they travel to different cities offering the courses. They finish up at the College World Series in Oklahoma with a great package deal where you can take 2 courses and get special seating for all the games.

Go to https://nfca.org/ for the website and in the heading is a link to click for coaches college.

be the best in Cherry Hill, NJ is Great. A literal Who's Who in college coaching is there year after year. Last years PGF clinic in Bainbridge was very good. (TV portrays Pat Murphy as such a jerk. I'm his biggest fan after hearing him at PGF last year). I'm going here this year

I have heard the Ohio clinic is very good. Might have to try that one next year.
