Looking for jr high girls who want to play in the spring/mixed team

Hello,

Im Tim Shepherd I coach the Ohio Hawks 98 team. I have a couple girls in 8th grade who's school don't offer jr high teams or club. So myself and another have started a mixed bag of girls from other teams looking to practice and play as many games from March till about the middle of May. This would be a great time for extra work and to learn a second position better while there is no pressure. Please before you respond make sure your coach has no problems with this and if he has a list of things for you to work on we will make sure your dd is doing it. Even sometimes a different approach makes things stick in there heads better. We want girls who want to come in and work hard, we are not baby sitters, goal oriented only. We will push them to help keep what they've done all winter and to be ready to go when its time to go back to there teams. This is not a recruiting tool you will not be offered a summer spot, we are here to help and help only. All kids will play different positions a primary and a secondary and some even a third they don't know about yet. Need pitchers and a couple catchers and the rest we will make work. Good core only looking to have 10 or 11 as everyone will play every game fielding and hitting. Some travel will be involved but cost will remain as low as possible. lol-- seriously, we are trying to get a club started in our community. Our AD said it would have to be a club at first because of lack of school funding. Any schools in the Portage, Summitt or surrounding communities that would like to get school teams playing - please contact me and lets see if we can get it started for 2014. Thanks! Dan PM me .

You just start a team its not a school or club team and find teams to play. I wish more people would do this it saves a ton of money and kids can play until they go back to there respective teams. Sent u a pm give me a call I will help you.
