Mason Thunder Wins Vandalia Windmill Tournament

Congraluations to the Mason Thunder 12U team for their win at the Vandalia ASA Windmill Tournament! We battled it all, rain, heat, cold and some very good competition. Six games is two days is always a great weekend of softball.

Hats off to the Vadalia Parks and Recreation Department for their beautiful complex and well run tournament.

Congratulations to the Mason Thunder. I caught bits and pieces of some of your games. Looks like a great group of girls. I wish we could have finished off the Danger after 3 extra innings and play your team but it just wasn't meant to be. Good luck with the rest of your season.

Our 16U and 14U participated in this tournament. What I liked about this tourney was ~
A) the facilities are top notch
B) the fields are well maintained
C) the staff running the tourney were visible and available throughout the weekend
D) no time-shortened games - played the games the way the tourney was advertised - No 50 minute Drop Dead Format and "games" with only 3 innings of play
E) despite rain delay, TD was organized and moved games around so all games were played
F) long running tradition and good reputation

BTW, our 16's finished Runners-Up and our 14's were Champs. Congrats to the Mason Thunder 12U for their success as well. :yahoo:Guess it was a "Thunder" kind of day.
